THE DS BRAND ACCELERATES ITS DEVELOPMENT IN SOUTH AMERICA WITH THE INAUGURATION OF BOGOTÁ DS STORE AND DS 7 CROSSBACK LAUNCH

On Wednesday, 14 March 2018, in front of an audience packed with VIPs, journalists, and potential customers, Eric Apode, DS Vice-President of Product and Development, and Alfonso Márquez de la Plata, CEO of the DERCO Group, inaugurated the Bogotá DS STORE and launched DS 7 CROSSBACK that is already available for orders.

This event represents a major step in the global growth and development of the DS brand in Latin America, a region where the Brand has already established in Argentina and Chili and will be soon setting up in Peru and Ecuador.

In partnership with the DERCO Group, the largest car importer in Latin America, the DS brand inaugurated the first DS STORE in Bogotá, Colombia and presented DS 7 CROSSBACK, on national premiere. The ceremony was attended by Eric Apode, DS Vice-President of Product and Development, and Alfonso Márquez de la Plata, CEO of the DERCO Group.

 

“With the opening of the first DS STORES in Colombia and the launch of DS 7 CROSSBACK, the DS brand is undergoing a major step in its international development! Colombia is a key country for us and contributes to our ambition of radiating the French luxury know-how in the automotive sector”, said Eric Apode during the ceremony on 14th March. He went on to add, “The experience of our partner, DERCO, is an important asset for success. It acts as a springboard to accelerate the DS development in Latin America.”

 

For Alfonso Márquez de la Plata, “The DS brand is synonymous with avant-garde design, advanced technologies, refinement, and French elegance. We are delighted to be the exclusive distributor of the DS brand in Colombia. I’m confident that Colombian customers will be thrilled  by DS 7 CROSSBACK. Its commercial launch will be held within a few weeks”.

 

Nearly 80 people, including journalists, local VIPs and potential customers, attended this important moment for both partners. A ceremony held at the new DS STORE on Calle 99 in the luxury district of Bogotá. In a space of 250 m2 , customers can now immerse themselves in the DS universe. With its modern facade, sleek design, featuring the DS frame finish, lacquered furniture, plasma screens and DS VIRTUAL VISION virtual configurator, photos depicting Paris, fashion, luxury, or design, the store’s atmosphere is both cosy and high-end. The cars on display, up to five models, are turned towards the entrance to catch the eye of the visitor upon arrival.

 

DS 3, DS 4, DS 4 CROSSBACK, and DS 5 are currently available for sale. The DS offer is expanding further with the arrival of DS 7 CROSSBACK. This newest model can now be ordered and its commercial launch will be held within a few weeks. In the Colombian premium car market growth, the charismatic design, advanced technologies, refinement in every detail, and a level of comfort conveying a sense of serenity offered by DS 7 CROSSBACK are all attractive features for customers.
